At the last Innovation Price Africa three Nigerians emerged among the top ten nominees. The IPA event which took place in Gaborone, Botswana on the 22nd and 23rd of June is aimed at encouraging and promoting growth and prosperity in the African continent.Amongs them is a molecular biotechnologist and CEO of Fyodor biotechnologies Dr Eddy Agbo who innovated the Urine Malaria Test (UMT), Godwin Benson's "Tuteria" which allows people who want to learn any skill whether formal or informal to connect with anyone offering that skill in proximity and an automobile designer Femi Odeleye's "Tryctor" transforming small scale farming in Nigeria.

At the closing event,a Nigerian Dr Eddy Agbo grabbed the special price with his simple and affordable Urine Test for Malaria (UMT), a Non-blood diagnostic medical device that can diagnose malaria in 25mins.
