ARTIFICIAL PANCREAS JUST WON FDA APPROVAL....
Medtronic MiniMed 670G system got approved by the FDA last month for the treatment of Type 1 diabetes referred to as juvenile diabetes. Inside the artificial pancreas is a glucose meter, that measures the patient's glucose level every 5minsand then supplies insulin to the user as required via the insulin pump and the infusion patch strapped to the body. This device is expected to be available this spring.
