Namibian schoolboy invented cell phone that does not use airtime

Simon Petrus a grade 12 learner from Abraham Iyambo senior secondary school,  a rural  school in Ohangwena Region, has invented a SIM-less mobile phone that does not need airtime to  make calls. He put together  parts from a telephone and television set that according to him, uses only a radio system. Apart from the phone chargeable unit that works with radiation, the cell phone also has a light bulb, a fan and a socket for its charger etc-The Herald Source :The Herald 

New micro-library's facade clad with recycled containers.

Dutch -  Indonesia design firm Shau created a new micro - library on top of an existing outdoor community stage using over 2k recycled ice cream tubs for the structure's exterior cladding. As stated by Tree hugger, The facade does not only give additional meaning to the building it also generates a pleasant indoor light ambiance since they scatter direct sunlight acting as natural light bulbs.

Infant Cries Translator App

Now, smart phone can also be a little nanny, informing parents when  their  babies are hungry, sleepy, in pain or in discomfort as a result of wet diaper. The infant cries translator developed by Taiwanese Researchers can differentiate between a variety of crying sounds made by babies. The App shows analysis of a baby's cries on the user's phone within 15 seconds. Researches say the App has an accuracy of 92percent for infants under 2weeks old. Source:Reuters.com

It has generators in the rear wheels which charges the Origami while you walk and thereby supplying juice for the folding mechanism, as well as for the cell phone chargers, built-in sensors, LCD dashboard(for the thermometer, speedometer, odometer, lifetime tripometer, daytime running lights and pathway lights(under the stroller) that turn on in low-light condition.
